Scrap all hospital fees
We are calling on this Government to revisit the cost of living proposal to abolish all hospital charges.
Why is this important?
The Minister for health proposed this measure as part of cost of living package at a cost of €50m but the rest of the Government rejected it. The scrapping of fees is long overdue as it was also promised to happen in year 1 of Sláintecare - 4 years ago. A couple of months ago we also heard of Cancer patients being harassed by debt collectors. Now more than ever we need to scrap all hospital charges.
We need hospital fees scraped immediately - no more delays.
