Why is this important?

The Minister for Education has said the money is not available for 97,000 children in Northern Ireland to continue getting free school meals over the summer.

Boris Johnson has just U-turned and announced free school meals over the summer for eligible children in England. Scotland and Wales have similar schemes in place.
